I couldn't believe the salary in jobs that I was getting straight out of high school without any college experience. Anyone could do it making six figures at 19. My name is Martina. I am 19 years old. I just learned to code at Sabio coding boot camp. When I was in high school. I really didn't have any idea what I wanted to do afterwards. And then I had a friend tell me about Sabio, she had said that she had a couple of friends that went through the program. She said that they didn't know anything about coding or tech or anything like that, just like I didn't, but now they're working in really good tech jobs. And they were doing really well. And so I looked into it, and I signed up for an info session. From there, I decided to make the crazy decision to drop out of college and do this. Instead, I felt like sabio would be better and cheaper than college just because I knew I was going to learn a lot in a short amount of time. Well, I was really doing some research into the tech industry and then just saw how many jobs were out there and available to me. And I thought that if I signed up to do this program with Sabio that they would be able to get me one of those jobs. And I learned how Sabio actually collaborates with big companies like Microsoft and Amazon and ServiceNow. In order to get their graduates jobs. I learned JavaScript, C sharp HTML, CSS, and I learned sequel all of that in a short amount of time. And from there I got a job just like that and I was able to afford to go because Sabio offers this incredible women in tech scholarship. If I were to describe my experience at Sabio, I would say it was definitely challenging, difficult, but really rewarding and a good experience. The people there were really friendly, and they were really encouraging. I would say that the thing that I'm most proud of is the fact that I finished the boot camp, and just learning programming and being comfortable enough to say, Okay, I know I can get a job. I'm currently a software engineer in San Diego, I got my job. I think two weeks after I finished my program. I'm hoping to get enough experience within the industry to eventually start my own tech company. Maybe Sabio really teaches you how to learn and how to be ready for the world of tech and to get a job. I hope to stay in touch with the people in sabio, especially in the future. Because if I ever have a question about programming or anything like that, I can just reach out to a former teacher or a friend sabio really changed my life. I really never thought that I would be where I am now and making the money that I do. Now, if you're interested in coding, I would say when you start if it's too overwhelming, just keep going. It's worth it.
During our Info Sessions you will learn all about our program, and also get to speak with Sabio team members. In addition, every week you get to hear directly from recent grads that are now thriving in tech.
Info Sessions are your chance to meet our instructors via Zoom and to get an overview
of what Sabio and Alliant International University have to offer from our innovative program.
Itβs a warm environment where you can ask questions and get over any fears or hesitancy you
may be experiencing.
