From jobless to software engineer at MedMen, Tassia lays out how she never could have done it without Sabio

My name is Tassia Pasqual. I'm a software engineer at Med men on the digital products team. When I was looking for a coding bootcamp, I really like sabio. Alone. Like other coding boot camps, it really showed the statistics behind its output about the students and how successful they've been since they've graduated. And not a lot of coding boot camps do that some of them I went to I reached out and asked about how their graduates are doing or what their percentages are for finding jobs. And a lot of them didn't have that information, which was kind of a red flag to me. And but Sabio did I attended an info session, answer some of my questions about what stack I should choose, or why should go into this field. And it was very reassuring and telling me that I can do this, I can learn how to code because I definitely had some self doubts. It's very community driven. And I really enjoyed that. It's a very supportive atmosphere. They really encourage you not only to do your best, but they really instill a lot of confidence in your abilities, which I think is really important. And when you leave sabio need to have the ability to say yes, I can program and I can program very well. I liked Sabio in their teaching strategy, because not only do they have you build your own app that you do in pre work, but you also build an application for someone else. And they put you in this real world setting. You have a client and you're building an application for them. And you're on a team taking what I learned from Sabio and how we built something I could apply that directly to the job that I took right afterwards. It was like stepping into the same thing all over again. So the job that I have right now is with med men are kind of the leaders in the marijuana industry too. And we're just helping them build their e commerce site. They're really becoming super tech focused, which is really exciting, because they're interested in the quality of the technology as well. So it allows us to build things the way that we really believe will create an outstanding user experience. Sabio, I think had I not gone through their program, I would not be where I am today. I think I got the job that I have right now. Because of them. They really did help me a lot to those who are interested in coding or in sabio. In general, I would say you have to have the dedication and the motivation for it. And I can tell you right now that it's a lot of fun, it's very rewarding and I don't think you would regret it.
