Hello, everyone, my name is Gregorio Rojas. I am co founder and CTO at Sabio. And today I'm here to answer one of the more popular questions that we field. And that is, Do I need a degree to get a job in technology? related? Do I need a computer science degree to get a job in technology, career and technology as a software developer? And the the short answer to that is no. You do not need a degree to get a job in or a career in technology, that is not something you need anymore. Now, if you are interested in doing both though, Sabio can help you both get a job without a degree and then help you finish up your degree. We'll talk about that at the end. But let's take a look real quick at this job posting that we find on Indeed, it's entry level, by the way entry level jobs pay 40 to 50 bucks an hour. What's up? No bachelor's required no bachelor's. Now this is saying, I don't mean not only do I not need a computer science degree, you don't even need a bachelor soul, rolling them with your AA or just rolling as yourself. Now, this was one specific job that we pulled from indeed, let's go look at some of the headlines. Google apple 12. Others say, Look, we don't need a degree, probably for a specific set of jobs. But there they are. They're opening up the doors. It used to be not too long ago that some of the more coveted prime positions in there, you needed a computer science degree, they keep lowering the bar to keep lowering the bar because they realized that that bar where they said it didn't make sense. They were finding perfectly great talent when they removed the degree requirement. So there they are, they're open to the idea. And that's been look, look at the date on this. This is actually been going on for a while. So it's not like this is a brand new thing. This has been going on for a while. Here's Google. They also removing degree requirements for jobs, more jobs. Here's some more examples, more recent posting, than the prior Apple posting about the availability of well, paying jobs, careers that don't require a degree. My man Ian here pay. What does he look for? It doesn't look for the college degree. And if you read this, it's going to tell you what he looks for in applications. And let me actually tell you what people are looking for in applications. Let me tell you the three things that people are looking for in applications, what are we looking for in candidates, if not degrees, skills, skills, skills, you have to be able to demonstrate your skills, you have to be able to have a work of body that illustrates that you have the skills that are required to be successful in the job.
